ugh I can't stand any of those shows I think I watched the first season of American Idol or a few eps and then I was like this is ridiculous especially as a singer myself (not professional) I just thought the ridicule of the judges was just awful

I do think there is certain music for example that definitely dwells on all the negatives... I don't know how that can lift people up, but it maybe makes people feel they aren't alone in their misery?

I am actually going to try to get back into my music, pull out my keyboard and brush up on my skills. My sis wants me to teach my nephews music so I am super excited about that :) Other than that I am currently in grad school so not a lot of extra
