The average attendence for a non-Triple Crown Belmont Stakes is less than 50,000 people. This weekend they're expecting over 120,000!

They should be testing them. The extra oxygen will come in handy. This is a mile and a half race, longer than most of the races they do.

I know and I think the whole story behind California Chrome is awesome. Combined the owners spent $10,000 for the mare and sire. The latest price being mentioned to buy a half share of California Chrome is $10 million! All for a west coast horse!

That's why each year regardless of if there is a triple crown threat or not, you see some horses entered that didn't run both of the first two legs.
