RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:05 AM

Hello Lucy! :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:05 AM

Hey Rachel!!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:05 AM

This could be an interesting evening!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:05 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

I brought my inner fan!

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:05 AM

lol. yes very interesting
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:05 AM

hello audience. :) we are here tonight to talk about a serious issue, fangirling
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:06 AM

do you want to say a little about yourself before we get started Lucy?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:06 AM

there's an audience? damn!!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:06 AM

sure
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:07 AM

for those that don't know,i live in the UK,and i do art. I started doing it pretty seriously about a year ago. that happened when i sent off a picture to non other than Mr Lee Camp...
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:07 AM

ahh! Lee! :) Already fangirling lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:07 AM

lol oh god yes!!!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:07 AM

yes Lucy's art is awesome! :) we will plug your site later great stuff! :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:08 AM

as you can tell Lucy and I bonded over fangirling over a few things already :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:08 AM

belly button lint!!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:08 AM

so when you think fangirling what do you think of Lucy?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:08 AM

mmmm well that can conjur up alot of thoughts, but i guess the main one is the crazy thing you half for something
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:09 AM

so a bit of an obsession, as the title of this tawk eludes to.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:09 AM

my first thought was of the mad Bieber fans!!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:09 AM

haha oh goodness help us! Lol although I was an NSYNC fangirl so who am I to talk lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:10 AM

New Kids here *holds up hand*
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:10 AM

I like to think of it as being an "extreme fan" someone who really enjoys the show or music
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:10 AM

so do you think "fangirling" is quite common among people?
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:11 AM

and if so, just certain age groups or do you think we all have a bit of fangirl in us?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:11 AM

it used to be. it the 80's and 90's it was rampant.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:11 AM

but now not so much i think
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:11 AM

why do you think that is?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:11 AM

we've got other things to think about and to worry about
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:12 AM

all goes back to politics in some ways
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:12 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

I don't think there are just fangirls. I think guys obsess over female celebrities. Look at Summer Glau from Firefly

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:12 AM

very true. I notice that people who seriously geek out on things usually belong to a specific group or "fandom" I am thinking Star Trek fans or comic con fans for instance
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:13 AM

always. :p
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:13 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Fanboys?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:13 AM

i think you can be geek/fangirl at the same time
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:13 AM

for some reason "fanboy" is not a popular term. I know the fandom I am in the guys just accept they are a fangirl lol I don't know why fanboy isn't as accepted
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:13 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

Princess Leia was the character guys my age obsessed over. :-)

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:13 AM

i am such a fan girl over the film Starwars. i can get all geeky about it too. did you know i can recite the lines from all the films,i've watched them that much
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:14 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

The only time I ever heard the term fanboys, was as a way to remember the different conjunctions

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:14 AM

me too. I grew up on Harrison Ford; Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie slol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:14 AM

ahh Seth you can be my fan boy :-)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:14 AM

that movie Fanboys was really funny...
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:14 AM

ooo Indinana Jones...*sighs*
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:15 AM

not seen that film
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:15 AM

yes. *swoon* Harrison Ford made it really difficult for me to have realistic expectations of men lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:15 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

I'm a fanboy too

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:15 AM

JB,you will always be our top fanboy
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:15 AM

I love that we have 2 self-proclaimed fan boys in the audience. awesome. :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:15 AM

So Lucy who or what do you "fangirl
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:16 AM

over
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:16 AM

lol god yes!! this si way too cool!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:16 AM

oh god where do i start....
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:16 AM

ok here goes...
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:16 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Fanboy for who Jordan?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:16 AM

Depeche Mode,Starwars,Lord of the Rings,Lee Camp, Dave Gahan,Keane,Richard Hughes....
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:16 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

Capt. Picard

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:17 AM

I know most of those. awesome. so what makes you "fangirl" over someone or something, like what attracts you to these people or things to begin with?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:17 AM

capt picard was such a cool charachter
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:17 AM

perosnality
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:18 AM

and in the case of films, they have to be easy to follow, have a hunk in the lead and a bit of funny in them too
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:18 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Fanboy for Miley Cyrus...I like her twerking

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:19 AM

why does that not surprise me,Seth
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:19 AM

I notice that you are a fan of people vs. shows and that type of thing. I think I am sort of the opposite. I have always loved shows and that fantasy world.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:19 AM

I get really into a story line and characters.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:19 AM

@Seth I sure hope you are kidding ;)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:19 AM

yeah i used to love TV shows but since i hardley watched any TV any more, its kinda gone out the window - along with the TV!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:20 AM

yeah I rarely watch it much anymore, but I still have my core shows I watch.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:20 AM

i can see Seth twerking in private....
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:20 AM

so why do you think people "fangirl/fanboy"?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:20 AM

used to love CSI and NCIS. man i loved those shows
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:20 AM

bahaha! what an image! lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:21 AM

yes those are good. I have and will always love sci-fi type shows, just how I was raise. :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:21 AM

maybe people fangirl/boy as an escape from the real world.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:21 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

It's OK if you like to tweak, @Seth. We're not judging you...

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:21 AM

tweak that twerk,Seth!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:22 AM

I agree, I think that is a big appeal for people. like you said the world is in a bad state and people feel trapped by all this harsh reality, these other things give people some sort of escape once in a while
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:22 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

@Lucy. Yes, I think is a way of escaping. However, some people take it too far. Stalkers...

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:22 AM

yes there is a line and some cross it. :/
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:22 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

I liked Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:22 AM

oh god yes ....i think on many occasions i MAY have gone close to stalking! lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:23 AM

lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:23 AM

I don't believe you. :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:23 AM

there is a fine line between fangirling and stalking. bit like love and hate
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:23 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

I was a scary fan of The West Wing.

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:24 AM

where would you draw that line between acceptable fan behavior and unacceptable Lucy?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:24 AM

i loved The West Wing,David! good call
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:24 AM

@David that sounds like an interesting story. :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:24 AM

acceptable = conversing with them, going to see them at gigs ....
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:25 AM

unacceptable = rifling thru their bins, bullying their family, setting up FB pages about how a certain pop star shouldnt have gotten married....oh yes that really happened!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:25 AM

ick
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:26 AM

i knew of a page where "fans" were having a go at a pop star, that they were big fans of, just for being a vegitarian
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:26 AM

I am a big part of the online Supernatural Fandom and it is crazy how "crazy" fans can get.. especially over family members of the actors.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:26 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

Although I am now friendly with some of the people associated with the show.

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:26 AM

that's ridiculously stupid. :p I can't imagine how people live in the public eye day in and day out
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:26 AM

i know some stars too David but i never tell anyone if i am. if they wanna people thats up to them.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:27 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

I met Martin Sheen at Valleyfair once. We had just come out of the waterpark so I was looking my best. LOL. Martin and Emilio were scouting the location for the Mighty Ducks movie. This was right before West Wing but I knew who he was from his movies

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:27 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

Am I wrong or didn't that 50 Shades of Grey thing start as fanfiction or something?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:27 AM

holy cow,Julie! i woulda died!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:27 AM

I am not sure David. but fan fiction is another thing that fangirl's often do.. I used to write some.. back when I was a teenager
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:28 AM

this tawk is revealing how big of a fangirl I am lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:28 AM

i think sometimes fan fiction is where fan girling can tip over into stalking,in some csaes
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:28 AM

how so?
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:29 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

@Lucy. I just talked to him like a normal person. He was very nice and I think thankful that I didn't make a big deal over them being there.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:29 AM

by thinking of situations of those people you fan girl over...and then thinking it can happen in real life
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:29 AM

that's one way to look at it, I always thought of it as a healthy way for them to sort of live those things out without actually doing anything. I guess it depends on the person
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:30 AM

when i come to NYC next year,i really wanna meet some stars, damn it! lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:30 AM

if a person is unstable mentally that would be a huge red flag
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:30 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

Speaking of Supernatural... I think the whole Dean/Castiel obsession is extremely strange....

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:30 AM

haha. I hope you d
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:30 AM

*do
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:30 AM

i've never gotten into Supernatural. altho i can see the appeal. Two strapping young hunks...who wouldnt like that show?
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:30 AM

haha omg Julie I could talk all night on that strange phenomenon.. but I don't know how many SPN fans we have here. lol :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:31 AM

best show ever.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:31 AM

haha.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:31 AM

I met a lot of the cast in May when I went to a con it was so much fun and they are all so fun and easy going
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:31 AM

and fun to talk to, I thought they would be intimidating.. best experience of my life. :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:31 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

That's kind of the girl equivalent of Penthouse Forum, right? "I never thought those letters were true, until one day I had an experience which changed my mind..."

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:32 AM

ooooo talking of Cons - i met Craig Parker once. he played Haldir on Lord of The Rings
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:32 AM

@david best description of fanfic ever! lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:32 AM

awesome! :) what was that like?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:32 AM

probably the most nerve wracking moment of my life! lol i was shaking so much i couldnt speak
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:33 AM

ugh I know that! I couldn't go up and talk to Rob Benedict the entire con... I just couldn't make words lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:33 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

Now that you mention the conventions -- that might really be the tipping point between fan and obsessed, no?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:33 AM

and i met a comic this month too,Robin Ince - dont know if you guys know him, check him out - but he knew who i was from my art! now how damn cool is that?!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:34 AM

@David yeah I'd say a regular fan wouldn't be interested in cons, but those more "extreme fans" are.. It was so much fun though to meet people who love the same thing just as much (and more) than you do
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:34 AM

that made my night did that
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:34 AM

that is awesome! :D
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:34 AM

speaking of your art.. you should show all these lovely people some of your work. :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:34 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

@David for guys and girls? I am thinking of the Comic Con. What madness. Has anyone ever been to the one in CA?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:34 AM

ha! yes, check this out guys!! http://bintsart.tumblr.com/
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:35 AM

I want to go to comic con so bad!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:35 AM

and if you like those...then go to my website where you can see WAY more!! http://dickiesbintsart.jimdo.com/
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:35 AM

David are you confusing reality with Big Band Theory? lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:35 AM

i think David just wants a big bang.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:36 AM

Lucy's art is amazing. :) I love how you incorporate a little of your inner fangirl in a lot of your work
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:36 AM

was that something intentional. or something that just came about?
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:36 AM

lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:36 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

You are very talented @Lucy!

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:37 AM

well i havent thought it like that before and to be honest i don't really think about what i am doing. i get an idea and just roll with it. sometimes tho,i end up with abotu 4 images on the go!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:37 AM

thank you Julie :-)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:38 AM

I love that. Spontaneous art. :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:38 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Very impressive Lucy

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:38 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

But I do think that there can be an element of nutsoness about cons, although I think the Internet has done a lot to make this sort of uberfandom not just stuck in the cons.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:38 AM

cheers Seth!
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:39 AM

i have to say too, that music play a big part. i find cant do any work without slapping the headphones on,turning up the volume and seeing where my mind takes me
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:39 AM

I agree. Music makes the world go round for me as well
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:40 AM

So it is just a completely creative process from start to finish for you
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:40 AM

I love that.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:40 AM

pretty much yeah. and i am self taught too. i havent learnt this from tutors, just tutorials off the internet or images in a magaxine
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:41 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

In addition, your art informs people about key issues. The quotes from Lee are very insightful

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:41 AM

So Lucy do you think there are any common misconceptions about fangirling or having certain "obsessions"? Sometimes I don't think the terms are very fair, as many fans yes they love something but not in a stalker-ish way but just in anenthusiasticway
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:41 AM

Her Lee stuff is my favorite. :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:42 AM

terms aren't very fair I meant lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:42 AM

fangirling is for youngsters - WRONG!! it can be for anyone,of any age.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:42 AM

and for anything
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:42 AM

a show, actor, music etc..
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:42 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

The ultimate obsession, fangirling, was when the Beatles first came to America

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:43 AM

ah yes,thats america for you
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:44 AM

there are different types of fan girls in every country. for example,in the UK,i think we are more reserved,in Italy,Valenzuela, they can be WAY over the top
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:44 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Girls screamed, at the top of their lungs, throughout the whole concert...have seen anything like that since

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:44 AM

welcome back JB!!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:45 AM

do you think there are certain benefits the fans themselves get from being an extreme fan? like a sense of belonging in fandoms for example?
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:45 AM

from fan groups that i know of,they can get benifits, like shout outs from the band when at a gig.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:46 AM

but yes,i think being a fan girl can make you feel like you belong. again,it something that can take you away from reality/the real world
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:46 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

You know, @Julie, for someone with only one eye, you sure do see thngs clearly...

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:46 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

@Rachel, I think it gives people a sense of community

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:46 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

FOR SURE Rachel. Community is a huge part of it!

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:47 AM

for me,i am not too bothred if i belong, not anymore. i used to be.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:47 AM

yeah I agree... or it gives people a way to deal with reality. I know in the Supernatural fandom there are a lot of people who are finding it hard to cope with the harsh world and find strength in the story and characters
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:47 AM

maybe i have just aged well
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:47 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

A lot of the girls think they are going to win the "lottery" and the rock star is going to marry them instead of just use them as a groupie

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:47 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

I wonder if someone could actually manage to go their entire lives in escape mode, and never face reality at all...

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:48 AM

@Seth I was so that person at 16 but I think that has more to do with younger fans and maybe the more mentally unstable ones lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:48 AM

you are thinking of congress/parliment there JB
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:48 AM

Lucy and I think that's part of it, it's not belonging to the mainstream, you are belonging to a group who gets you are loves the same things as you for similar reasons..
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:48 AM

lol i my. yes. i used write Jordan Knight's name all over my school books! and my folders...and the walls....
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:49 AM

for me it was Justin Timberlake...
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:49 AM

haha aww.. the teenybopper days lol
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:49 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

I bet it would involve a lot of Netflix!

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:49 AM

Netflix is a fangirl's best friend.. true story ;)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:50 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

I think there is a benefit to watching empowering stories. People may find courage and strength from the character's struggles.

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:50 AM

Julie, that's what I get from the experience (aside from the occasional eye candy lol) but I did grow up in sort of "fantasy land" watching sci-fi and those alternate worlds
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:51 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

In Canada, there were about 300 girls parked outside of Justin Bieber's hotel...just imagine if he had talent

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:51 AM

I don't get the whole Justin Bieber thing
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:51 AM

and i'm back!!! so sorry internet went out!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:52 AM

no worries, glad you made it back. :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:52 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

I mean, Justin Bieber DOES have talent. It's just not the impressive kind.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:52 AM

the only talent Bieber has,is of being a total tit (scuse language)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:53 AM

haha
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:53 AM

So Lucy how do you think all of this new social media plays into this?
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:53 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

And our apologies to tit for the comparison Lucy

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:53 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

I do think it can be prohibitive to teenagers if they obsess too much. It is good to get out in the real world once in awhile.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:54 AM

it can make a stars life alot harder to contraol. often fans know about something before they do! now THAT'S scary!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:54 AM

yes I think so too Julie.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:54 AM

Lucy yes that is true. so for the fangirl it is great.. maybe not so much for the star
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:55 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

You're not limited to the 15 or so Monty Python nuts in your school, you can share and obsess with people all over the world.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:55 AM

i also think tho that it can have an even scarier side. like way worse stalking and the like.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:55 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

Also, think about bullying in the schools. If teenagers see someone standing up to a bully in a movie or on TV do you think they would feel able to do it themselves?

LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:56 AM

but it can have posiitive benifits like getting someone to open up. to explore a hidden gift - much like myself.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:57 AM

I think it can, although I think that stalking is a you know an "exception to the rule" of the norm. even the majority of extreme fans know what is no acceptable.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:57 AM

some people will never know how it feels to have someone,a celeb or not,say they like what you do. that is the best feeling ever.
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:58 AM

i think thats because people have been "taught" to tell on bullys and fans are more protective of their celeb
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:58 AM

yeah and I feel that is like a positive thing these fans get from the experience, they can share their fanart, fanfic, etc.. with a group of people who will appreciate and understand it
LD

Lucy Dyer · 12:58 AM

exactly!
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:59 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

Is Pinterest the new fandom for older women???

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 12:59 AM

haha maybe Julie, it is a lot like tumblr
LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:00 AM

its amazing who yo can meet thru a group of people. ive conversed with pop stars, comics, writers.blogger, politicians ...its kinda freaky if take a step back and look in on what you've been doing
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:00 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

When you (we) only had the few hundred people around us in school, if you felt out of place or had an odd interest, you were really alone.

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:00 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

Now, you know you're not alone.

LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:00 AM

all right buddies - I gotta go do my Tawk - come hang with us when you're done!

LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:00 AM

see ya soon JB! and thanks for coming
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:01 AM

exactly Lucy! :) so it is another way to get to know these people or those who also enjoy the same things. Honestly I agree joining a fandom was on e of the best things for me. I have met a few really great friends who have become like family to me
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:01 AM

thanks Jordan! :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:01 AM

★ Spotlighted from David Kaufman

Julie -- I'm here!

LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:01 AM

★ Spotlighted from Julie Myers

I have to go find some hunky man to obsess over. Good tawk girls! :-)

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:01 AM

ok well we will wrap things up anything else you want to add Lucy? :)
LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:02 AM

if you have something that you love doing, don't give up. Persevere. it WILL get better. i promise.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:02 AM

great advice. :)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:03 AM

and don't be afraid to love what you love
LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:03 AM

★ Spotlighted from Seth Hochman

Good Tawk ladies, and yes I was just joking about Miley, I actually think she's pretty sad

RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:03 AM

even if you do it in an "extreme" way... just no stalking.
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:03 AM

lol
LD

Lucy Dyer · 1:03 AM

thanks Seth :-)
RM

Rachel McDonnell · 1:03 AM

throw your site link up again so everyone can check out your art. :)
