I agree, I think that is a big appeal for people. like you said the world is in a bad state and people feel trapped by all this harsh reality, these other things give people some sort of escape once in a while

yeah and I feel that is like a positive thing these fans get from the experience, they can share their fanart, fanfic, etc.. with a group of people who will appreciate and understand it
