Considering corporate media is a global concept, I'm sure it's an international issue, but yes - I can't say much for other countries. I can say Sweden is a bit better at covering stories but there is still one-sided bias

Utah (I think) found that giving every homeless person an apartment and a case worker was cheaper than leaving them on the streets ($11,000 versus $16,000 per year) and therefore they've done it. They've decreased homelessness by 78%.
