We have liftoff!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:00 AM

Hey Kid, good to Tawk to you again.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:01 AM

Always great Tawking to you as well... I have been looking forward to this discussion for a while, my Cash game can certainly use it!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:01 AM

Before we get started though....
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:01 AM

I just want to take a minute and throw out some TIPS for our new Tawkers joining us tonight.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:01 AM

cool
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:01 AM

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:01 AM

Hit the LIKE button on other’s comments if you find them awesome! This will help them get Overheard and shown to everyone, including the Hosts (Kenna and I)
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:02 AM

Remember... Kenna and I will ONLY see the comments that get voted up to be Overheard so if your comment isn’t OH we dont see it!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:02 AM

You’ll find more tips like this at the very bottom of the page in the ad banner! Enjoy!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:02 AM

ok now that the formalities are behind us
KJ

Kenna James · 2:02 AM

Nice! I'm excited for this new platform, thanks for inviting me.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:03 AM

So...let's tawk some poker!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:03 AM

Awesome.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:03 AM

OK so I gave some thought about how I'd like to open this up
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:03 AM

We were on the phone the other day having one of our multi-tangential conversations
KJ

Kenna James · 2:04 AM

lol - Tangential...already raising me I see....
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:04 AM

and you asked me an excellent question, but to be honest it's one in which I think everyone joining us would benefit more from your answer than mine!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:04 AM

(Oh yeah I'm bringing the big words to the Tawk tonight sir!)
KJ

Kenna James · 2:05 AM

ok...so what's the "excellent" question....???
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:05 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

Sometimes poker is SO flushtrating!

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:05 AM

Haha JB... thanks for a Punny beginning.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:06 AM

★ Spotlighted from Sharon Liss

So there is no sound to this?

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:06 AM

So the question was KJ, "What is poker all about to you?" or some form of that!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:06 AM

No Sharon.....turn on some good music in the back round and enjoy!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:07 AM

Oh, yeah....you know the reason I asked you that?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:07 AM

I do not... but like I said... I can't help but think, monstrous ego aside, that the people would rather hear your answer.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:08 AM

Well, I asked you because before we can even Tawk strategy....it's good to have a purpose for playing the game.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:08 AM

I find that many are not clear on their purpose or that it is convoluted
KJ

Kenna James · 2:08 AM

YOUR GAME STRATEGY SHOULD ALWAYS FIT YOUR PURPOSE IN PLAYING THE GAME
KJ

Kenna James · 2:09 AM

So, I believe it's important to be clear on how you got started playing the game and what your purpose is in playing it.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:10 AM

With poker and all other aspects of life, but poker tends to parallel other areas on a pretty consistent basis don't it.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:10 AM

For sure.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:10 AM

For some it's a social game...for others it may be about having the best hand....
KJ

Kenna James · 2:11 AM

For me....I play it professionally....and the successful pros that I know play it for the challenge of making profitable decisions
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:11 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

Isn't winning the unifying reason?

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:11 AM

Jordan asks an interesting question here
KJ

Kenna James · 2:12 AM

He does....let me ask Jordan a question....if I may
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:12 AM

I guess though.. what Kenna is saying is "how do you define winning"
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:12 AM

did I beat you to it?!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:12 AM

EXACTLY!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:12 AM

LOL
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:12 AM

(smiling with self gratification)
KJ

Kenna James · 2:12 AM

What is winning to you?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:12 AM

Well so let's answer the question starting there
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:13 AM

I guess you already did, since you play professionally, much of the time winning means financially profitable
KJ

Kenna James · 2:13 AM

Is winning making money - defeating someone else - outlasting the field? Feeling good? Making the right decisions?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:13 AM

not to say you don't have other profits in mind, but the major type of profit you are after
KJ

Kenna James · 2:14 AM

Profitable decision making, Yes. Financially or otherwise is what is important to me.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:14 AM

I tend to enjoy the game more than the money, I enjoy a tournament infinitely more than a cash game for starters, and I tend to not care as much about the stakes of a tournament... in other words it doesn't effect how badly I want to win.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:15 AM

so outlasting the field for sure means a lot to me
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:15 AM

I like to figure things out
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:15 AM

and figuring out how to win a tournament is a long and arduous puzzle
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:15 AM

and completely unique each time
KJ

Kenna James · 2:16 AM

You win a tournament by outlasting everybody else in it I think.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:17 AM

well yes but figuring out how to outlast them!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:18 AM

I see Jeff Shulman is in the forum - he's an awesome tournament player - and seems to have figured a lot of the game out.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:18 AM

Whoa Jeff Shulman? Ok now I have to step up my game!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:18 AM

Yes, it's different every time. But what if it had a lot more to do with YOU then you ever realized?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:18 AM

Ladies and gentlemen Jeff Shulman... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Shulman
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:19 AM

Well thats yet another parallel to life in general, how often do we realize the only way to solve an issue with someone else has mostly to do with ourselves?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:19 AM

Nice! Welcome. Anyway, I think Attitude has so much to do with it, even before we get to the specifics of strategy.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:19 AM

BING! I agree.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:20 AM

Man there are some great questions being voted up from the audience already... ok let me take a minute to ask you some basic questions I had jotted down here ok?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:20 AM

Attitude effects everything we do.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:20 AM

sure
KJ

Kenna James · 2:21 AM

One more thing about Attitude, before we get to your questions.....
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:21 AM

sure
KJ

Kenna James · 2:21 AM

Know that ATTITUDE is reflected in everything you do.....
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:21 AM

bite me
KJ

Kenna James · 2:21 AM

How you dress, how you walk up to the table, how you sit and most importantly....how others perceive you.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:21 AM

Hahahah sorry sometimes I have a funny thought and I HAVE to go with it
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:21 AM

haha
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:22 AM

Totally agree
KJ

Kenna James · 2:22 AM

no worries....
KJ

Kenna James · 2:22 AM

And btw - I define Attitude as your view of your self.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:22 AM

okay, so .... questions.... I'm starting to ramble.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:23 AM

Ok here we go..
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:23 AM

What "Type" of poker player would you say you were?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:23 AM

I went straight to this one because I think it brings in a question in the audience by Mr Brinbaum
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:23 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

Do most pros know the mathematical odds cold? Or s it a "feel" thing?

KJ

Kenna James · 2:24 AM

Professional with an upbeat attitude that plays a complex game of getting my opponents guessing and then getting them to guess wrong.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:24 AM

In competition, one of my goals is to keep my opponent off balance.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:24 AM

Like Judo!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:25 AM

Do you use his own energy against him to do this?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:25 AM

Since human beings tend to find safety in predictability....I try to put unpredictability into their universe....which is usually perceived as threatening.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:25 AM

ahhh
KJ

Kenna James · 2:25 AM

Good question. Sometimes.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:26 AM

But usually I like to take the lead.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:26 AM

★ Spotlighted from Michelle Hamilton

Hey Kenna:)

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:26 AM

OK so looking at your description, we kind of covered "Professional" - Let's look at attitude
KJ

Kenna James · 2:26 AM

Hi Michelle
KJ

Kenna James · 2:27 AM

okay
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:27 AM

Nice Scott... good timing!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:27 AM

So important
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:27 AM

★ Spotlighted from Scott Williams

i love kenna's attitude, its infectuious... (think i just made a word up, lol)

KJ

Kenna James · 2:28 AM

I do like to infect or inject others for sure....lol
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:28 AM

So my question is... How do you maintain your attitude during tough times?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:28 AM

Ah....
KJ

Kenna James · 2:29 AM

The attitude of a professional -- doesn't let the situation rob him of his attitude.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:29 AM

He can lose the pot, the hand or the tournament, but should never lose his attitude.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:30 AM

The key is to see them as seperate
KJ

Kenna James · 2:30 AM

Differentiating between a result and you, I guess
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:30 AM

What steps, exercises, practices etc. help you to keep that ability strong?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:30 AM

★ Spotlighted from Sharon Liss

How do you maintain your attitude on bad beats, bad calls, and bad play against you?

KJ

Kenna James · 2:31 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jennifer Winter

Is that chat available later for review? Does anyone know?

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:31 AM

Yes Jennifer it's all documented forever : )
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:31 AM

So KJ, how do you do it... What Sharon and I are asking
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:32 AM

Is it the realization that the outcome is better for you in the long run?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:32 AM

Don't let your attitude be effected by your circumstances, it's amateurish. You must learn to differentiate YOU from your EXPERIENCE.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:32 AM

Your attitude should be based in your decisions.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:32 AM

Man does this guy play poker on a deep spiritual level or what folks!?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:33 AM

You are the Deepak of the felt
KJ

Kenna James · 2:33 AM

LOL - one guy called me the Fuxxxxx Socrates of Poker once...I don't think he meant it as a compliment
KJ

Kenna James · 2:34 AM

So maintaining an attitude...how do you do it?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:34 AM

Good question.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:34 AM

First: You must be willing to work hard and look at your self and notice what effects you.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:35 AM

What happened that effected your attitude? Write it down...
KJ

Kenna James · 2:35 AM

You want to make note of it either way....Positively or Good / Negatively or Bad
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:36 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

My friend says that if you get upset over a hand, you haven't played enough cards.

KJ

Kenna James · 2:36 AM

If it effects you and you get overly excited....that's just as bad as letting it get you overly upset
KJ

Kenna James · 2:38 AM

A professional maintains an even keel to steer the ship through the reefs (bad beats) of the tournament. Doesn't let him/herself get too high or to low. They learn to manage it.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:38 AM

So make note Sharon of those times.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:38 AM

What I remembered becoming clear early on was the concept of getting annoyed about the last hand, made me play the next hands poorly.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:39 AM

That was very obvious pretty quickly
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:39 AM

then you are off course, zigging when you should be zagging, and it's hard to break that pattern
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:39 AM

When you win a tournament you experience the exact opposite, you have that "can do no wrong" feeling
KJ

Kenna James · 2:39 AM

What about the last hand annoyed you?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:40 AM

We can do an example using you....for Sharon and the group.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:40 AM

I had the best hand, I played it correctly, the other guy played it poorly, the other guy is stacking my chips
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:40 AM

haha
KJ

Kenna James · 2:40 AM

AH....the best hand.....
KJ

Kenna James · 2:40 AM

story
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:40 AM

For sure the gut reaction is ANNOYED!
KJ

Kenna James · 2:40 AM

You have a limited viewpoint.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:41 AM

FYI - The best hand is the one that wins the pot.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:41 AM

When I say best hand I mean, at the time of betting
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:41 AM

Like pre flop I am dealt a stronger hand than mine opponent
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:41 AM

on the flop I am still ahead
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:41 AM

and so on
KJ

Kenna James · 2:42 AM

Ah, so you didn't like how things developed....
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:42 AM

and I play it well, and the other person pulls a lucky out
KJ

Kenna James · 2:42 AM

they didn't work out in "your favor"
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:42 AM

right
KJ

Kenna James · 2:42 AM

Good.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:42 AM

now over the course of time I understand that I just want to keep doing what I did
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:43 AM

but at the moment, the instinct is to be upset.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:43 AM

I believe that's what Sharon is referring to
KJ

Kenna James · 2:43 AM

Being able to face a situation AS IT IS and NOT how you want it to be, is definitely a key to keeping a professional attitude.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:44 AM

The situation is the HAND WAS LOST....How you respond to it will tell you about YOU.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:44 AM

If it breaks you....your an amateur
KJ

Kenna James · 2:45 AM

If it doesn't phase you and you learn about your self in the process and move forward....your a professional
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:45 AM

Got it, and I have certainly come a long way in getting upset by bad beats and such... and for sure I have learned a lot about myself by working on that skill
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:45 AM

OK
KJ

Kenna James · 2:45 AM

★ Spotlighted from Sharon Liss

I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. Maybe I was giving off something that made them play the way they did. Maybe I would have played the same way if I was them. I try not to get upset about a hand, but some time that is hard.

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:45 AM

let's move into some less abstract and psychological factors
KJ

Kenna James · 2:46 AM

That's responsibility right there. Good comment.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:46 AM

How did I contribute to this situation, is always a good question to ask yourself.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:46 AM

Okay, sounds good.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:46 AM

Let's Tawk about hand selection... What do you consider when deciding to play a hand dealt to you?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:47 AM

I should say deciding whether or NOT to play a hand dealt to you
KJ

Kenna James · 2:47 AM

Hmmm...good question. A few things really. In order of priority...they would be....
KJ

Kenna James · 2:48 AM

Chips - Risk vs. Reward Table Position - Last to act or out of position
KJ

Kenna James · 2:48 AM

Hand Value - strength of my hand AND finally Opponent - their hand range
KJ

Kenna James · 2:48 AM

and probably in that order
KJ

Kenna James · 2:49 AM

It's important to know the important factors of your consideration and prioritize them
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:49 AM

Wow, Im surprised
KJ

Kenna James · 2:49 AM

So you can make a PROFITABLE DECISION...lol.
KJ

Kenna James · 2:50 AM

at what?
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:50 AM

From lessons with you... I would have thought table position would be first
KJ

Kenna James · 2:50 AM

Ah....If you don't have the money to play the hand, what difference does position make?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:51 AM

Financial position is always stronger then Table position
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:51 AM

Ok good to know
KJ

Kenna James · 2:51 AM

All things equal, table position becomes more important
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:52 AM

I was about to ask... its more common that your chip position will be somewhat equal and table position will be considered
KJ

Kenna James · 2:52 AM

Actually SKILL - being in a position of being highly skilled is more important then table position I think also
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:52 AM

but I see how chip position comes first if it is a factor
KJ

Kenna James · 2:53 AM

Which is why someone like Tom Dwan can often give up table position and still outplay his opponents a high percentage of the time...but he is always aware of where he is at, I'm sure
KJ

Kenna James · 2:54 AM

★ Spotlighted from Jordan Birnbaum

Then how has Hellmuth been successful?

KJ

Kenna James · 2:54 AM

He's not in Cash Games...he's a big loser I believe
KJ

Kenna James · 2:55 AM

★ Spotlighted from Alex Spiers

whos the better skilled player...the guy that wins 1 out of 100 tourneys or the guy who cashes 15 outa 100?

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:55 AM

KJ, I hate to hand the keys over to the inmates, but there are just SO many good questions coming from the audience.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:55 AM

Im going to let you answer a couple of these and sit back for a minute
KJ

Kenna James · 2:56 AM

Good question Alex. Depends on your purpose and definition of winning. If your purpose is to WIN tournaments, then the guy who wins the 1 out of 100.If your purpose is to make money, then whichever one won the most money.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:57 AM

For your purpose Kenna
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:57 AM

which outcome is better?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:57 AM

Today? The guy who wins the money. A few years ago? the guy who won the tournament.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:57 AM

haha good answer... and an honest one
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:58 AM

★ Spotlighted from John McDonell

I would say the more consistent player is the better one. anyone could get lucky go on a roll and win once

KJ

Kenna James · 2:58 AM

Yesterday I was more into the "glory" today I'm more into feeding my family and survival....lol
KJ

Kenna James · 2:58 AM

Good point John.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:59 AM

I agree
KJ

Kenna James · 2:59 AM

I define SKILL as doing something well.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:59 AM

if you were looking for an employee would you prefer one that is consistent or had one great success and no others?
KJ

Kenna James · 2:59 AM

One guy is skilled at making money, the other is skilled at winning a tournament it sounds like to me.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 2:59 AM

With John's point I might redefine it as doing something well consistently
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:00 AM

someone with no scientific knowledge can accidentally happen upon a formula, but what use is it if he can't recreate it.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:00 AM

For employees....I would look for one that is a good worker. One who likes to work and doesn't treat it as a job.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:00 AM

Good workers are hard to find.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:00 AM

haha ok here we go getting TANGENTIAL again... My bad this time
KJ

Kenna James · 3:01 AM

All questions will be answered! lol.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:01 AM

Bringing it back to the world of cards... Let's Tawk opponents.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:01 AM

ok
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:02 AM

When you are looking to READ an opponent, what are you looking for? I would love for you to give some basic fundamentals there
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:02 AM

I think people feel its a bit more "mysterious" or magical than it actually is right?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:02 AM

Sure. First thing I look for is their hand frequency. How many hands does this guy play an orbit.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:02 AM

That tells me the kind of hands he's playing.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:03 AM

His range right? :)
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:03 AM

Sorry I knew something so I got excited.. go on!
KJ

Kenna James · 3:03 AM

Exactly! The second thing I look at is...the style in which he plays his/her hands.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:04 AM

Aggressive / Passive / Passive-Aggressive / Solid, etc.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:04 AM

So the first is quantified as Loose or Tight and the second as I said
KJ

Kenna James · 3:04 AM

But they are DIFFERENT. Important to note that.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:04 AM

★ Spotlighted from Scott Williams

I love the hand chart you have for that Kenna

Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:04 AM

is there a link to the Hand Chart online KJ?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:04 AM

How a guy plays his hand is different then the number of hands he plays.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:05 AM

No. Scott is an old student of mine and it is privileged information. lol.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:06 AM

Ahh Lucky guy
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:06 AM

Ok so, if a guy plays many hands aggressively... what does that tell you the best way to play against him is?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:07 AM

sry, got a phone call
KJ

Kenna James · 3:08 AM

so that means he's what we call a LAG player or Loose/Aggressive player type
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:08 AM

Is that the easiest player to play against, or are all types equal?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:08 AM

These players often give regulars a really tough time and nobody knows what to do, is that correct?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:09 AM

All types are not equal..all types are different....
KJ

Kenna James · 3:10 AM

The easiest type to play against is the Loose/Passive traditionally.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:10 AM

ahh
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:10 AM

There seems to be a question from the Forum that demands our attention!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:11 AM

Kelly Scott is having that age old issue.... What to do with Pocket AA :)
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:11 AM

I know you love this one
KJ

Kenna James · 3:11 AM

I think The best strategy against the Loose/Aggressive player is Solid/Aggressive
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:11 AM

so I think you should have a go at it, and then maybe we should reconvene next Tuesday same place, same time. What do you think?
KJ

Kenna James · 3:11 AM

Ah...okay. Pocket Aces!!!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:12 AM

★ Spotlighted from Kelly Scott

whats the best way to play pocket AA's? they seem to get me everytime just about

KJ

Kenna James · 3:12 AM

Sure. sounds good.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:12 AM

How to play aces....Okay, here's my crack at it.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:12 AM

#1 Tip: Don't get "overly attached" to any hand, especially Aces.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:13 AM

Aces will end off making usually what you start with....One Pair.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:13 AM

Think about it....In No Limit your goal is to win an opponents entire stack...not win pots.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:14 AM

For you to do that, they must be willing to risk and put all their chips in the middle.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:14 AM

This usually requires them to have more then ONE PAIR!
KJ

Kenna James · 3:15 AM

Aces play best when you are up against KK's or QQ's or AK, because those are the type of hands that some players are willing to risk their entire stack on Pre Flop!
KJ

Kenna James · 3:15 AM

Remember, the more cards to come, the more your fate is in the hands of the dealer!
KJ

Kenna James · 3:15 AM

Anyway....back to Aces.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:16 AM

Since you are looking for someone to have one of those 3 hands, there is no need to slow play them pre-flop.
KJ

Kenna James · 3:17 AM

My suggestion is bet them big and hope someone else wakes up with a hand or makes a move pre-flop on you.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:17 AM

that makes so much sense
KJ

Kenna James · 3:17 AM

NEVER slow play them!
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:17 AM

because I think people get frustrated
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:17 AM

when they pull in a tiny pot pre flop with Aces, like they wasted them, but the reality is they successfully avoided losing to a set of 4s
KJ

Kenna James · 3:17 AM

If you win a small pot, or the blinds, which often happens, it just means no one else had a big hand.
Blake Ian

Blake Ian · 3:18 AM

or a wheel
