Hey Armeda, I just read that TSA is now allowing passengers to carry on pocket knives but they still do not allow them to carry on water bottles or lotion....

I honestly think this is unconstitutional...why should I be allowed to carry a pocket knife on board while it could potentially be putting other kids and adults in danger? Hmmm, do the new regulations make sense?

I see the point of view for some that this may be an unusual regulation, however, the true unconstitutional aspect of this endeavor would be to DENY one's right to attain these items while in flight

I agree..not every flight has an air marshall on board who is trained to deal with passengers who have knives.

there are many facets to this argument, but in summary, i believe that a passenger should be entitled to these items if they so choose

one point the TSA could argue with is the safety and reassurance for their own passengers by equipping everyone with these tools of self protection

This is true. but tell me why I can bring a pocket knife on board but not baby formula or lotion?

this is a valid question for which i can only think of in regards to the fact that the TSA may have speculation of explosives in these formulas as opposed to a solid weaponry-based object

I just think that the government and TSA needs to definitely re-evaulate their decisions on what passengers can and cant bring on the airplane. This new regulation is going to take place in April and It honestly might not even happen due to the passengers

If in the even it does not happen, then passengers will proceed to partake in standard TSA regulations until other adjustments have been made. do you have any other thoughts?
