I couldn't even find an Ice Wine, but I did grab a late harvest Riesling. Being that I'm not a huge fan of sweet wines in the first place, I figured it would be adequately offensive either way. lol

Back to Rachel's question, "What is Ice Wine?", it's when the grapes are allowed to freeze on the vine and are then immediately harvested. the sugars are more concentrated, making this syrup-y sweet wine.

Yes, Rachel. Exposure to the air helps the bolder flavors of red wine to come forth. The lighter flavors typical to many white wines are better accentuated as they are - without so much exposure.

Champagne flutes have the smaller opening at the top because that is the optimum shape for showcasing the lighter, more delicate flavors inherent to champagne. The tallness of a champagne flute is really more for aesthetics -

Arbuckle - I prefer the stemless glasses because they have a lesser tendency to get broken at my house. Plus my wine's usually gone before temperature change could possibly become an issue. lol
