#ReOccupy
Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:01 PM

As Lee said in his MOC, Occupy was just the beginning
Lee Camp

Lee Camp · 11:02 PM

I guess we wanted to hit on what it is and also whether you think it will be useful/ how best to be involved.
Lee Camp

Lee Camp · 11:02 PM

But it's not just occupation - since we all know the cops know how to stop that (beatings)
Lee Camp

Lee Camp · 11:02 PM

It's far beyond occupation. In fact I'll be annoying and start listing all the ideas that are part of the #WWW

Without direct action, things that actually create negative costs for the corporations and the PtB, nothing will change.

Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:04 PM

Hence the idea of a wave of action. There's info for specific cities and events on their home page
Lee Camp

Lee Camp · 11:04 PM

(taking breather from listing actions) I wish more people cared to vote with their wallet - it's a huge weapon when done right.

Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:06 PM

haha - we fight all the time. it's good for the music ;)

Up here in Canada, we have a BIG problem...we technically lost our universal health care as of today, because Harper has put off renegotiating for 3 years...we need to fight to keep it, get Harper answering!

And "Buycott" is an effective app that allows people to make that decision on their own.

Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:06 PM

Boycotting is a great idea in theory but large corps. tend to focus their business towards the ignorant
Lee Camp

Lee Camp · 11:07 PM

Adjacent to boycotting is fucking with the brand-recognition of corps. Make Chevron known as a pillaging horrible corp, and it becomes harder for them. Walmart's profits were down 21% this quarter from last year!
Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:07 PM

@Dana - you can also look on their FB page and twitter. Another alternative is to directly tweet them or get in touch with them on FB.

Sam - That's going to happen with any movement/idea that becomes big. The key is to make the real meaning even stronger.
Eleanor Goldfield

Eleanor Goldfield · 11:12 PM
